LGBTQ+ Youth and Bullying: Understanding Issues and Addressing Solutions

October 13, 2021, is National Stop Bullying Day, a day dedicated to bringing school leaders, students, teachers, and community members together to raise awareness for bullying. Studies have shown that LGBTQ+ youth are at an increased risk of being bullied on school property and online. 

Join Hinshaw and the LAGBAC, Chicago's LGBTQ+ Bar Association as we discuss the impact of bullying of LGBTQ+ youth in schools. This one-hour CLE program will provide an overview of:

• laws protecting students from bullying and harassment in schools
• how school districts implement policies to enforce these laws and create inclusive school environments
• the impact of school bullying on LGBTQ+ students and possible solutions
