LGBTQ+ Youth and Bullying: Understanding Issues and Addressing Solutions

October 13, 2021, is National Stop Bullying Day, a day dedicated to bringing school leaders, students, teachers, and community members together to raise awareness for bullying. Studies have shown that LGBTQ+ youth are at an increased risk of being bullied on school property and online.
Join Hinshaw and the LAGBAC, Chicago's LGBTQ+ Bar Association as we discuss the impact of bullying of LGBTQ+ youth in schools. This one-hour CLE program will provide an overview of:
- laws protecting students from bullying and harassment in schools
- how school districts implement policies to enforce these laws and create inclusive school environments
- the impact of school bullying on LGBTQ+ students and possible solutions
Who Should Attend?
This program is designed for attorneys and school administrators who are interested in learning more about bullying in schools and its impact on students.
