Jan 27, 2021
Hinshaw's Lauren Campisi will present at the American Bar Association's (ABA) Consumer Financial Services Committee Virtual Winter Meeting on January 27, 2021. Titled "Regulating the Cost of Consumer Credit in 2021 and Beyond," Campisi's program will explore the tension between federal and state regulation of consumer credit. It will include a discussion on the True Lender and Valid When Made rules and the impact of the Fintech Charter and potential rate exportation and preemption. As part of her presentation, Campisi will also address how these developments—and several others—may impact the consumer credit industry, including what products are offered, how, and by whom.
