Chicago-based partner Ian Wagreich will co-present at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) CLE online seminar "Preparing for FY 2026 H-1B Cap Season: Strategies and Tips from the Experts," on January 28, 2025. Earlier this year, USCIS implemented its 'beneficiary-centric' selection process for employer registrations.
The seminar will cover the following topics:
- The H-1B program, including the new 'beneficiary-centric' registration system
- Issues with electronic registration (handshake), pay.gov, and receipt of selection notices online
- Addressing client questions on cap gap, odds of selection, and more
- Preparing and filing the labor certification application (LCA), identifying the SOC, and prevailing wage issues, including new RFE templates for LCA SOC codes
- Strategies for unexpected second and third-round selections
