Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that Tessa Vorhaben has joined the firm's global Insurance Services practice as a partner in the New Orleans office. Previously with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, she brings extensive experience handling a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including commercial disputes, insurance claims, and general tort and product liability.
"Tessa is a dynamic attorney whose trial experience and deep knowledge of insurance law will add excellent value to our team," said Scott Seaman, co-chair of Hinshaw's global Insurance Services Practice Group. "Her successful track record as a litigator supports our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service to insurance carriers and companies in a variety of complex matters across the nation."
Vorhaben represents insurance carriers and companies in a wide range of matters, including coverage analysis, first-party and third-party insurance claims, agent and broker liability, property, and directors and officers (D&O) liability claims. She also has substantial experience representing carriers participating in the National Flood Insurance Program. A skilled litigator, she has taken numerous cases to jury trial and secured favorable outcomes, including defense verdicts, dismissals, and summary judgments in multi-million-dollar coverage disputes.
"I worked previously with Colleen Jarrott, and I have a high regard for the Hinshaw team in New Orleans," Vorhaben said. "The firm's national footprint, collaborative culture, and outstanding reputation in the insurance industry offer an unmatched platform for me to grow my practice and better serve my clients."
Lauren Campisi, partner-in-charge of the New Orleans office, added, "We are very excited to welcome Tessa to Hinshaw. Her presence not only enhances our insurance and litigation capabilities but also underscores our continued expansion and investment in the New Orleans market."
Vorhaben earned her B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Southern Mississippi and her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
