Scott Seaman and Ian Wagreich Recognized as 2025 Lexology Index Thought Leaders: USA

The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Scott Seaman and Ian Wagreich have been recognized in the 2025 edition of the Lexology Index Thought Leaders: USA guide.
Seaman has been recognized in the Thought Leaders: USA "Insurance & Reinsurance" report since 2019. This year marks the third consecutive year that Wagreich has been recognized in the Thought Leaders: USA "Corporate Immigration" report.
Previously known as Who's Who Legal, the Lexology Index publishes its annual Thought Leaders: USA guide, which "brings together the insight, expertise, and wisdom of some of the USA’s foremost lawyers and experts in a single report." Practitioners are selected for the Lexology Index via peer review of nominated practitioners.
Seaman is a commercial litigator and trial lawyer with over 36 years of experience. Clients regularly turn to Seaman and his team for counsel and representation in challenging, high-stakes insurance and business matters. He also serves as co-chair of Hinshaw’s Global Insurance Services Practice Group. Additionally, Seaman was named to the inaugural list of Midwest Trailblazers by The American Lawyer magazine, which recognizes 50 professionals from 12 Midwestern states “who have moved the needle in the legal industry" and "are truly agents of change."
He was selected for his "high-profile, complex insurance coverage cases nationwide, which resulted in precedent-setting rulings that have altered insurance law," and he was named to Crain's Chicago Business 2024 Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting, & Law. A recognized thought leader, Seaman has written numerous publications, including the insurance law treatise Allocation of Losses in Complex Insurance Coverage Claims (12th Ed. 2024), and he hosts Insurance Law TV, which was a 2024 Communication Awards Distinction Winner. Seaman is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Litigation Counsel of America, and the American College of Coverage Counsel.
With over 25 years of experience, Wagreich handles business-related immigration law for a diverse range of clients, including multinational corporations, healthcare institutions, universities, and entrepreneurs. Specifically, he provides counsel in matters related to nonimmigrant visas, employment-based permanent residence, labor certification, investment-related immigration, and employer sanctions. Recognized as a leading voice on immigration law topics nationwide, Wagreich frequently discusses immigration issues on campuses and continuing legal education seminars. He also regularly provides commentary in print media, television news programs, and on his social media profiles.
