The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that partner Peter Felsenfeld will receive an Award of Merit from The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF).
The award recognizes Felsenfeld's dedication to the BASF through his work this year as a volunteer mentor for a visually impaired Native American 2L law student and Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) scholarship recipient. Felsenfeld will be officially recognized with the award at the firm-sponsored BASF's Annual Membership Luncheon on December 12, 2024
Having joined Hinshaw in 2014, Felsenfeld advises on complex litigation matters for businesses, individuals, and insurance companies, focusing on insurance bad faith, coverage disputes, ERISA benefit claims, and payor/provider health care reimbursement disputes. He also handles contractual and employment disputes, including wage and hour and wrongful termination cases.
Before embarking on his legal career in 2008, Felsenfeld worked as a news reporter for the Contra Costa Times (now the East Bay Times), covering regional and statewide politics and conducting investigative reporting on public employee pensions.
The JDC advances fairness and equality by providing pro bono legal services to low-income people and educational programs that foster diversity in the legal profession. Learn more on the JDC website.
