Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is delighted to announce that partner Pedro Hernandez, the co-leader of the firm’s global Insurance Services group, has been named a finalist in the Best Mentor category of the 2026 Florida Legal Awards, presented by the Daily Business Review and American Law Media (ALM).
About the Florida Legal Awards
The awards program annually recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the legal industry in Florida. The Best Mentor category honors Florida attorneys “who take it upon themselves to prepare the next generation of legal talent and who pass along valuable knowledge to younger attorneys, paving the way for advancement and stellar contributions to the profession.”
All honorees will be recognized, and winners announced at an awards ceremony in Miami on April 29, 2026.
“I’m very honored to be selected as a finalist for this award,” said Pedro. “Uplifting young lawyers and paying it forward is rooted in my own life journey. I have an open-door leadership style that focuses on accessibility, honesty, and proactively creating pathways for growth. Through thoughtful guidance, increased visibility, and meaningful shadowing opportunities, I aim to be both an effective mentor and a caring, trusted friend to my colleagues.”
