Mohamed F. Sweify Admitted to the List of Arbitrators of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC)

The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that New York attorney Mohamed F. Sweify has been admitted to the List of Arbitrators of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).
Mohamed’s DIAC admission is for a period of two years, from July 2025 through July 2027. Mohamed is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, one of the highest global professional qualifications for international arbitrators. Additionally, he was recently appointed to the List of Arbitrators of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center.
DIAC is the largest alternative dispute resolution center in the Middle East region, providing independent arbitration and mediation services for commercial disputes involving parties from all nationalities and jurisdictions. The DIAC has administered nearly 5,000 cases and continues to enhance its procedures, most recently with its new Arbitration Rules in 2022 to better serve the evolving needs of the business and arbitration communities. Mohamed is a New York-based bilingual, dual-qualified attorney with extensive experience in complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He represents clients in domestic and international disputes across a wide range of industries, including commercial, financial services, telecommunications, intellectual property rights, securities, business partnerships, insurance and reinsurance, lender-related contracts, shareholders, investor-state, investment, construction, digital assets, cryptocurrency, and tech-related disputes. Mohamed has a strong record of handling motions, trials, and appeals before federal and state courts in the United States.
Mohamed is especially recognized for his experience in cross-border matters, investor-state disputes, and the enforcement of arbitral awards. He has been featured in the “40 Under 40” directories of both the Arab American Foundation and the Middle East Policy Council. Mohamed serves as a Delegate of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commission on Arbitration and ADR (2022-2024), contributing to the global development of arbitration and ADR practices.
