Jennifer A. Patterson Appointed as Special Representative for the Supreme Court of Missouri Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel (OCDC)

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Jennifer A. Patterson, the firm's Director of Risk Management, has been appointed as the Special Representative for Region XI, Division 1 (the City of St. Louis) for the Supreme Court of Missouri Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel (OCDC).
As Special Representative, Patterson will investigate and litigate complaints alleging violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct before Disciplinary Hearing Panels and the Missouri Supreme Court.
The appointment went into effect on January 1, 2024. Patterson has previously served as a member of the OCDC committee since 2019.
The OCDC operates as an entity of the Missouri Supreme Court. Its primary objective is to investigate any accusations of unethical behavior by attorneys and take legal action if necessary to safeguard the public or maintain the reputation of the legal profession. Additionally, the agency retains up-to-date disciplinary records for all licensed lawyers practicing in Missouri.
