The U.S. law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce it has bolstered its Commercial Litigation and Commercial Transactions practice groups with the addition of Jason E. Rosen as a partner in the firm’s Miami office.
“Hinshaw is pleased to welcome Jason’s diverse practices and ensure that he takes full advantage of Hinshaw’s national platform, practice support, and other growth synergies,” said Anthony J. Jacob, chair of Hinshaw’s Commercial Transaction Practice Group. “Our existing clients in Florida, Latin America, and across the United States will also benefit greatly from Jason’s experience in high-stakes disputes, investigations, his strong approach to negotiations, as well as acting as outside counsel to a wide range of businesses from startups to established enterprises.”
A former securities trader and financial advisor, Jason is a trusted advocate for his business clients, representing their interests as a litigator, corporate transactional lawyer, and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). As a business litigator, Jason represents clients on contracts, partnerships, shareholder issues, and business torts. On the transactional side, Jason provides practical, forward-thinking guidance on day-to-day operations and corporate deals on issues ranging from entity formation and governance to contract drafting, vendor negotiations, and mergers and acquisitions.
A third-generation lawyer, Jason founded his own boutique business law firm and worked alongside his father, Michael J. Rosen, in a national white-collar defense firm based in Miami. Jason’s grandfather was E. David Rosen, a renowned legal lion in Florida focusing on criminal tax defense who began his legal career as a federal prosecutor in the mid-1950s and represented Meyer Lansky, among many other well-known clients. “My grandfather was a legend in the courtroom,” added Jason. “Naturally, he and my father helped inspire in me a passion for courtroom practice and zealously representing the interests of my clients.”
Prior to joining Hinshaw, Jason was the managing partner of an international law firm’s United States office.
Jason speaks Spanish and is admitted in California, Florida, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Central District of California, the Southern District of Florida, and the Northern District of Ohio. His professional affiliations include the American Bar Association and The Florida Bar, Business Law Section.
Jason was recognized as a Rising Star in the South Carolina Super Lawyers magazine from 2019 to 2022 and as a Rising Star in the Florida Super Lawyers magazine in 2018. Jason holds a J.D. from Florida International University College of Law and a B.S. from Florida State University.
