The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Hinshaw associate Sunghee Sohn was named the first place winner of Best Individual Pitch at The Chicago Committee’s 6th Annual Rate My Pitch Program. This year's program was attended by a group of diverse mid- to senior associates from large law firms in the Chicago area, each of whom has to be nominated by his or her managing partner in order to participate.
The Rate My Pitch Program provides instruction and learning for skillsets and behaviors required for building successful business relationships. Associate participants are assigned to teams to practice scenarios that mimic real life encounters, from taking a partner/practice group leader to lunch through making a formal pitch to a real panel of in-house counsel in response to a mock RFQ for legal services. Associates are evaluated based on their professional presence, substantive competence, empathy and effective communication.
