The national law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Miami-based attorney Ofonedu-Ime Goodwyn has achieved Florida Board Certification in Real Estate. The certification—which is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar—designates Goodwyn as a legal specialist in real estate law, a certification only available to attorneys who meet stringent standards prescribed by the Florida Supreme Court.
Approximately one half of one percent of eligible Florida Bar members have earned board certification in real estate law. Goodwyn is one of only two Hinshaw attorneys to be Board Certified in real estate law in Florida.
Goodwyn's practice focuses on corporate matters, secured lending transactions, and the acquisition, disposition, development, and leasing of real property. He regularly represents closely held companies, national and regional lenders, and a diverse range of borrowers and developers in commercial matters. Goodwyn is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida, a Community Development Financial Institution that is helping to address South Florida's affordable housing crisis. He earned a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
