Benchmark Litigation recognizes up-and-coming litigation attorneys in the United States. Recognized practitioners have all played a role in "noteworthy recent cases" and also received praise from clients and peers. Vaught is described by Benchmark Litigation as a lawyer who regularly represents high-profile public figures.
Vaught is a graduate of Northern Illinois University College of Law (J.D., cum laude) and Truman State University (B.S.). He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court for the Central, Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois. Vaught is a member of the Chicago Bar Association; the Illinois State Bar Association; a Director of the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association; a former Director of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association; and an Auxiliary Board Member of the Illinois Judges Foundation.
