Each year The Florida Bar selects 30 individuals from a statewide pool of applicants to help "enhance the leadership skills of a diverse and inclusive group of lawyers selected from across the state to help them become effective leaders in the Bar and the legal profession."
The Academy aims to enhance diversity in the legal profession and "to raise the level of awareness and engagement among lawyers regarding issues facing the legal profession through the study of ethical, professional and public service issues."
