Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP has announced the addition of Rebecca A. Moore as a partner in the firm's global Insurance Services Practice Group in Houston. With more than two decades of experience, Moore represents insurance companies in a wide range of litigation matters, focusing on first-party coverage and bad faith claims.
"Expanding Hinshaw's capabilities in the Gulf Coast continues to be a major strategic priority," said Pedro Hernandez, co-chair of the firm's global Insurance Services practice group. "Rebecca has significant experience that will add depth to our insurance practice and expand our position in Texas. She has worked with a number of Hinshaw attorneys—including Rory Jurman and David Alfini—on related matters, and I'm delighted that she's joined the team."
Formerly with Sheehy, Ware, Pappas & Grubbs, Moore defends insurers, insurance agents, and adjusters in litigation in state and federal courts in Texas, Florida, and New York. In addition, she has a successful track record representing corporations against casualty claims in premises liability, personal injury, and commercial litigation cases. Hinshaw's geographic footprint allows her the opportunity to grow her practice and expand into additional key markets.
"After working with Rory Jurman and other Hinshaw attorneys for several years, I'm excited to join this talented group," Moore said. "My vast experience with first-party litigation aligns with and complements the firm's existing capabilities. I'm excited to have an opportunity to broaden the scope of my practice in other jurisdictions nationwide."
Prior to joining Sheehy, Ware, Pappas & Grubbs, Moore practiced law at Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard; Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom; and Tucker Taunton, Snyder & Slade. She earned her B.S. in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University and received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law. In addition to her active practice, she serves as vice president of the Cypress chapter of Young Men's Service League. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to promoting community service and providing volunteer opportunities for mothers and their teenage sons with various philanthropic organizations.
