Hinshaw Bolsters Gulf Coast Presence with Two Houston Partners
Kyle Ferachi and Stephanie Laird Tolson bring extensive employment, commercial litigation, and financial services industry bankruptcy and workout experience

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP today announced that Kyle Ferachi and Stephanie Laird Tolson have joined the firm as partners, adding depth to the Labor & Employment and Financial Services practices, and expanding the firm’s footprint in the Gulf Coast region. Formerly with McGlinchey Stafford, the duo brings extensive litigation experience, with a focus on employment matters, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and loan workouts, Both are based in the firm’s Houston office, and Ferachi also practices out of the firm's Baton Rouge, LA office.
Ferachi and Tolson are part of a team that includes Lauren Campisi, Stephen P. Strohschein, Stewart Spielman, Eric J. Simonson and Heather Alexis LaSalle, who joined the firm from McGlinchey in Louisiana in July.

About Kyle Ferachi
Formerly the managing partner of McGlinchey’s Houston office, Ferachi represents companies in a variety of sectors, including financial services, hospitality and energy. He handles wage and hour investigations and litigation, and employment discrimination and retaliation cases. He also provides general employment advice and counsel to corporations, and represents companies in a wide array of general commercial litigation.

Ferachi received his B.A., cum laude, from Louisiana Tech University and his J.D. from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
About Stephanie Laird Tolson
With more than 25 years of trial experience, Tolson represents national lenders, credit card processing companies, loan servicers and finance companies in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings and restructuring matters, along with other large commercial litigations. She also advises industrial construction and manufacturing companies on a wide range of matters, including contractual agreements, lien and payment issues, and represents companies in contract dispute and construction defect litigation. Tolson has extensive appellate experience in both federal and state courts and serves as outside general counsel for numerous clients.
"Hinshaw is a great fit for my practice," Tolson said. "Having a national platform to leverage will greatly benefit clients who will need bankruptcy and workouts counseling in the coming months as the pandemic continues to takes its toll on the economy."
Tolson received her B.A. from Texas Tech and her J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law.
"There are multiple synergies between our team here in Louisiana and Kyle and Stephanie’s practices," said Campisi, who represents financial services entitles in compliance and regulatory matters. "We’ve worked closely together in the past, and we’re excited that they’ve joined us on the Hinshaw team.
