Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP announced today that the firm is expanding in San Francisco with an additional 8,175 square feet of office space at its One California Street location, bringing the firm's total occupancy there to 23,797 square feet.
Hinshaw first signed a 15,622 square-foot lease at One California Street 10 years ago and has been expanding ever since. The new lease will keep Hinshaw in the space until July, 2020.
The expansion accommodates recent growth in San Francisco, including seven attorneys from Barger & Wolen LLP that merged with Hinshaw in October 2014. The need for additional space was also spurred by recent lateral hires, including partners Forrest Booth, Pamela Schultz, and Erik Kowalewsky, and associate Bradley Pace who brought their maritime practice to the firm in March of this year.
"California plays a significant role in the firm's strategic plan, demonstrated by the latest growth in our San Francisco office. We have an exceptional team of attorneys here and I know they are excited for the additional opportunities to collaborate and bring added value to our clients in the expanded, more efficient workspace," said Kevin Joseph Burke, Chairman.
Robert J. Romero, Partner-in-Charge of Hinshaw's San Francisco office, added, "I was proud to be a founding partner of Hinshaw's San Francisco office, and delighted with our recent expansion. The lawyers that have joined our office are a group of incredibly talented, accomplished, and hardworking individuals. Our expanded space was necessary to accommodate our busy and ever-growing practice not only here in San Francisco, but firmwide. We look forward to continued growth, and now have some additional beautiful offices overlooking the Bay to move ahead."
Kaye Gregg, a broker at CBRE / U.S. Equities, represented Hinshaw in the deal. CBRE, Inc., which also manages and leases the building, was represented by Phillip Tippett. Solomon Cordwell Buenz, led by Sheyla Conforte, were the architects of the expansion space.
