Gretchen Harris Sperry Appointed National Co-Chair of New ABA Council of Appellate Lawyers Subcommittee

Hinshaw Partner Gretchen Harris Sperry—who also serves as chair of the firm's Appellate Practice Group—has been appointed to serve as the co-chair of the National State Chairs Committee of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Council of Appellate Lawyers (CAL). As co-chair of this newly formed committee, Sperry will be responsible for coordinating programming and membership nationwide for CAL's state and regional chairs.
According to the ABA, CAL is the first and only national appellate bench-bar organization in the United States. CAL's mission is to "foster a dialogue among federal and state appellate lawyers and judges that will improve appellate advocacy and strengthen ties among the numerous appellate bar associations."
