The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that San Francisco attorney Eugene (“Gene”) Brown Jr. has been named to Lawdragon’s 2026 guide of 500 Leading Litigators in America.
Lawdragon is a legal media company that provides online news and editorial features—including guides to the nation’s leading lawyers. This marks the sixth year that Gene has been recognized on Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Litigators in America list (from 2020–2023 and 2025–2026). He was also selected to the Lawdragon Hall of Fame in 2023.
Gene is an experienced litigator in Hinshaw's defense litigation group and has successfully tried over 125 jury trials to verdict. He has served as lead counsel in various cases involving intellectual property in the Eastern District of Texas and has defended his clients in toxic tort, product liability, and complex commercial and personal injury matters across all major judicial jurisdictions in California.
Additionally, Gene holds Diplomate status as a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has received the chapter's most prestigious honor, the “Don E. Bailey Civility and Professionalism Award.” He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL), the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), and the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA).
