Deal Spotlight: Client M-TEK Acquired by Middleby

Hinshaw congratulates firm client M-TEK, Inc. (M-TEK) for completing the sale of its assets as a going concern to Middleby Packaging Solutions, LLC (MPS). Hinshaw acted as legal advisor to M-TEK and its owner in the transaction. M-TEK is an industry leader in the development of Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) systems, while Middleby Corporation, the parent corporation of MPS, is a global leader in the foodservice equipment industry. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Hinshaw transaction deal team was led by Jim Keeling and TJ Leake, with assistance from Kayleigh Nicholl and other Hinshaw professionals. Hinshaw also worked with attorney Peter Bazos on real estate matters related to the sale of the M-TEK business.
