Hinshaw congratulates its client, Community Care Systems, Inc. (CCSI), for recently completing its sale to Help at Home LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
In a press release, Help at Home noted that the acquisition will help enhance its ability to provide comprehensive, coordinated care, and address the ever-growing need for quality, home-based care. Help at Home President Tim O'Rourke thanked CCSI founders Frank and Bill Vala for having built a company "with an incredible legacy" of serving seniors, and said Help at Home intended to execute on opportunities to provide CCSI clients with quality care, enabling them to have great days in the home, the preferred setting of care.
CCSI has been a contracted home services provider for the Illinois Department on Aging’s Community care program since May 1980. CCSI also provides case management and adult day services. It provides homemaker services in 86 counties including the city of Chicago and suburban regions. CCSI provides service to an average of 8,000 participants and employs over 3,200 homecare aides.
Hinshaw’s legal team, led by attorney Michael Weis, served as transaction counsel to CCSI on the deal.
