David S. Weinstein Installed as President of the FBA's South Florida Chapter

The national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson is pleased to announce that Miami-based partner David S. Weinstein has been elected as the President of the South Florida Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA), one of the largest federal bar chapters in the country. He was installed as President on October 11, 2018 at an awards dinner and reception at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami.
The South Florida Chapter of the FBA holds innovative networking functions, informative and cutting-edge CLE programming and other unique opportunities for federal practitioners and the judiciary to interact outside of the courtroom. The FBA's mission is to strengthen the federal legal system and administration of justice by serving the interests and the needs of the federal practitioner, both public and private, the federal judiciary and the public they serve.
Weinstein is a member of the firm's Government Practice Group, and focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, government investigations, corporate compliance, anti-money laundering initiatives and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act issues. For a significant portion of his legal career, Weinstein served as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida as well as an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office.
In addition to his law practice, Weinstein is a highly-respected South Florida legal media personality, with appearances as a legal analyst on local, national and international TV and print outlets. He also hosts a weekly sports talk radio podcast.
Weinstein holds a J.D. from the University of Miami Law School and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He is admitted to practice in Florida, along with U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He is also a member of the DRI Government Enforcement and Corporate Compliance Committee and was appointed to serve as the committee's Vice-Chair.
