The national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that it has been rated with a perfect score of 100 on the 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and was also named one of the "Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality." The firm has now received a 100 percent rating on the CEI for 11 years in a row.
"We're proud to receive this recognition as an LGTBQ-inclusive workplace," said Firm Chairman Peter Sullivan. "Over the years, we've advanced a series of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives—purposed both to clients and our attorneys and staff—in order to promote the business benefits of an inclusive workplace. The perfect CEI rating is strong validation of our work in this area."
The CEI is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. It is a national benchmarking survey, which evaluates policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
Since 1980, the Human Rights Campaign has sought to improve the lives of LGBTQ Americans by advocating for equal rights and benefits in the workplace, ensuring families are treated equally under the law and increasing public support among all Americans through innovative advocacy, education, and outreach programs.
