The U.S. law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Milwaukee-based partner April Toy has been selected to the Wisconsin Law Foundation's Class of 2022 Fellows. The fellows are a select group of active State Bar Members in good standing who are nominated by their peers, approved by the Fellows Board of Trustees, and accept the membership pledge requirement.
The Fellows organization was created in 1999 to honor State Bar of Wisconsin members who achieved significant accomplishments in their careers and contributed leadership and service to their communities. The Fellows organization aims to energize its members to continue their efforts in the promotion of justice, advancement of the profession, and improvement of legal education. Membership is limited to 2.5 percent of the State Bar's total membership.
Outside of Toy's active litigation practice as a partner in Hinshaw's Business Litigation practice group—she also serves as the Region IX President of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Chair of the State Bar of Wisconsin's Leadership Development Sub-Committee, and on the Wisconsin Trust Account Foundation's Board of Directors. Earlier this year, Toy was named a "Rising Star in Law" by Milwaukee BizTimes.
