April Toy Elected to Serve on the National Executive Committee of the Hispanic National Bar Association for the 2025–2026 Term

The law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that partner April Toy has been elected to serve as the Vice President of Divisions, Sections, and Committees on the Hispanic National Bar Association’s (HNBA) National Executive Committee.
April will be sworn in with fellow 2025–2026 HNBA Officers at a ceremony during the HNBA’s Annual Convention on September 5, 2025. She will also present on a CLE Track Panel titled “Ethical Challenges in the Legal Profession: Maintaining Integrity in Complex Scenarios” at the convention earlier that day.
The Divisions, Sections, and Committees of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) work to advocate, educate, and empower legal communities at local, regional, and national levels. They offer opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, networking, education, and advocacy. Learn more on the HNBA’s website.
April represents businesses, insurers, and individuals in various civil litigation matters. Her main practice areas include commercial litigation, legal malpractice defense, and defending insurers in both first-party and third-party insurance coverage disputes.
April has been an active member of the HNBA since 2019, serving in multiple leadership roles, including her current position as National Secretary and previous roles such as Region IX President and Region IX Deputy President of Community and Pro Bono Initiatives.
She has received recognition for her contributions to the Hispanic legal community, notably being named a 2025 Notable Latino Leader by Milwaukee BizTimes.
