Wendy Chang—a Los Angeles-based partner and member of the Lawyers for the Profession® group at Hinshaw—discusses the latest overhaul of California's legal ethics rules, which go into effect on November 1, 2018. In an article titled "The new conduct rules: a snap shot," Chang explains how these changes will affect California lawyers. With this update, California's existing 46 rules will now become 69 rules.
