Hinshaw partner Andrew Gordon was recently the featured guest in an Associated Talk discussion hosted by Logan Mondshein, Benefits Practice Group Leader of Associated Financial Consultants. In the conversation, Gordon fielded a series of question related to employer rights, COVID-19, and the process of bringing employees back to the office.
Gordon explained that employers have considerable latitude when it comes to managing their workplaces, including requesting vaccination status of their employees, imposing mandatory vaccination policies or otherwise incentivizing employee vaccinations. Gordon and Mondshein also discussed the risks and statutory protections in place for Florida employers when it comes to COVID-19 personal injury/workers' compensation suits.
