Hinshaw partner Ambrose McCall joined the Greg and Dan Show to discuss some of the legal conundrums presented by social media giant Facebook. McCall begins the segment by explaining the application of Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act (CDA), which grants social media platforms like Facebook immunity from defamation claims because they are "intermediaries not publishers." Later in the show, he tackles the hotly debated issue of whether sharing content on Facebook should be considered an exercise of constitutionally-protected free speech.
