LOS ANGELES - Hinshaw Health Care partners Michael A. Dowell wrote an article published in the July/August edition of the Journal of Health Care Compliance. The article covers numerous requirements and Healthcare Resources Services Administration regulations, which apply to federally qualified health centers and look-alikes. The program requirements are grouped into four broad categories: patient need; the provision of services; management and finance; and governance. Seven types of site visits are used to oversee health center compliance. The article also discusses recent revisions to the site visit guide, the site visit process, and highlights the importance of the development and implementation of site visit corrective action plans and compliance programs.

He has extensive experience representing healthcare organizations on operational issues, regulatory compliance and transactional matters.
