Weinstein—a Miami-based partner in the Government Practice Group at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP—continued to provide analysis to media outlets regarding news that Jane Serene Raskin and her husband Marty Raskin—two Coral Gables-based lawyers—have joined President Trump's legal team in the special counsel's Russia investigation.
Washington Post: Trump needed new lawyers for Russia probe. He found them at a tiny Florida firm.
Weinstein spoke to Michael Kranish of the Washington Post, and noted that the couple, with their DOJ background, "know their way around the system.” He added “[c]ontrary to the way [former New York Mayor Rudy] Giuliani is portrayed as a ‘yes man,’ Marty and Jane are not going to tell their client what they think they want to hear. They will give a realistic picture of what is going on.”
