Hinshaw partner Jill Mendelsohn of the firm's Fort Lauderdale office was recently profiled in the Daily Business Review (DBR). In the article, Jill discusses her path to a legal career, some significant litigation trends, and resources that Hinshaw makes available to help young lawyers grow and succeed.
Growing up in a family of physicians and scientists, Jill stood out for her ability to advocate for herself and others. That persuasive and quick-thinking skillset eventually translated to a law degree and an MBA, and subsequently a career as a litigator representing Fortune 500 companies.
Jill discussed how her business degree has helped her in taking a business-focused approach to lawyering, one focused on understanding the client's operations and business objectives. She also highlighted the uptick in cybercrime cases involving real estate transactions as a significant litigation trend to watch.
On the issue of recruiting and retaining legal talent, Jill highlighted a series of resources that Hinshaw provides to young lawyers to help them grow and succeed in their career.
