Hinshaw partner David Levitt co-authored a DRI white paper on third-party litigation funding (TPLF) titled "Civil Justice and the Need for Transparency." The white paper was the product of an eight member DRI Third Party Litigation Funding Working Group, and was also co-authored by Francis Brown III of McGlinchey Stafford.
The white paper reviews the fast growing TPLF industry in the United States—a $5 billion market in 2017—and advocates for uniform rules and increased transparency of TPLF agreements.
