Liljestrand, a Chicago-based partner in the Product Liability practice at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, authored the article, "Appellate court notes difference between an ‘injury’ and ‘harm’," published by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin on August 10, 2016. The article discusses the Illinois appellate court decision, in re Sondag v. Pneumo Abex Corp., et al., 2016 IL App. (4th) 140918, that asymptomatic pleural plaques and interstitial fibrosis in the lungs do not amount to physical harm sufficient to state a valid product-liability claim.
