Cassidy E. Chivers, a San Francisco-based partner of the Professional Liability group at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, co-authored with Ms. Jody Harris, the article "The Dos and Don't of Professional Liability Insurance," published by the Daily Journal on February 3, 2016.
The article explains that law firms should approach the process of looking for liability insurance as a business deal because it's an ongoing process. The authors discuss that it's important for firms present an accurate picture of who they are and what they do in order to provide complete and truthful information. This will allow law firms to explain why they are a "good risk" to insurance brokers.
Cassidy Chivers focuses her practice on complex insurance coverage disputes and insurance litigation in both state and federal courts. She is experienced in coverage analysis and negotiation in multiple jurisdictions, including California, Nevada and Georgia.
