McCall wrote an article published by the Illinois State Bar Association's Federal Civil Practice newsletter in its September 2011 issue (vol. 10, no. 1). The article discusses challenges and recent Seventh Circuit decisions related to achieving service, actions that are removed where service was not achieved before removal, and what showing is needed to substantiate a good cause for failing to serve a defendant within 120 days.
