Hinshaw partner Scott Seaman—the co-chair of the firm's global Insurance Services Practice Group—will give two presentations at RISKWORLD 2025 in Chicago, Illinois, on May 6–7, 2025.
On May 6th, Seaman will present "Time to Focus: Reps and Warranties, Tax Insurance, Adverse Judgment and Judgment Preservation Insurance, Oh My!" Seaman will discuss how transaction insurance is gaining importance in corporate acquisitions, including representations and warranties insurance, tax insurance, adverse judgment insurance, and environmental coverage, as well as examine their costs, benefits, and coverage issues.
Following on May 7th, Seaman will co-present, "Viewpoints on ESG from the C-Suite to the Supreme Court." This panel will review how ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors have become vital for risk management in organizations. The panel will look at how ESG impacts corporate strategy, insurance placement, and claims handling. It will also discuss how recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions may also affect ESG risk evaluation.
