Hinshaw partners John DeLascio and Barry MacEntee will present on multiple panels at the Hinshaw-sponsored Global Access Week 2025 conference in London, United Kingdom. Taking place between March 11-13, the conference will provide a series of exclusive seminars and panel sessions that address the insurance industry's most pressing questions.
The event is a great opportunity to network with professionals from Global Access firms and gain insights into the industry's latest trends and developments.
On March 11th, DeLascio will co-present a session titled "The Liability Claims Landscape and Trends." The panel will share valuable insights into the current challenges insurers face in the claims environment.
Topics of discussion will include:
- Opioid-related claims
- Issues related to PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances)
- The impact of social inflation
- Claims for mental and emotional damages
- Recent legal cases and future expectations in the liability claims sector
On March 12th, DeLascio will also speak on the panel titled "The Insurance Cost of Climate Change," discussing how climate change and recent extreme weather events are affecting the insurance industry.
On March 13th, MacEntee will co-present two sessions. The first, "AI: Risks & Opportunities" will feature panelists sharing valuable insights into the risk and opportunity trade-off created by the rapid adoption of AI and how AI will impact the D&O insurance landscape. The second, "International Trends in the D&O Space," will cover recent developments impacting U.S. directors and officers, including Executive Orders regarding ESG, DEI and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act enforcement.
