Aug 14, 2013
Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to present a webinar miniseries on issues relating to the HIPAA Omnibus Final Rule. Health care providers and business associates alike will benefit from these focused programs that will delve into specific challenges posed by the Final Rule. These complimentary webinars are designed to identify issues for providers and business associates, and will provide tools and action items that attendees can apply to their own circumstances to help them achieve their compliance objectives.
This program is the third in the series.
With the impending compliance date of September 23, 2013, for the HIPAA Final Rule fast approaching, it is important that health care providers and business associates have a clear understanding of the breach notification requirements and the HIPAA Privacy and Security Enforcement Provisions. They will also discuss the strengthened enforcement provisions — including the penalty provisions for non-compliance, the investigative procedures permitted, and the ability of the Secretary of HHS to conduct a compliance review.
