Hinshaw’s LGBT Affinity Network Moderates "The Fight for Marriage Equality in Illinois"

On June 19, 2013, the LGBT Affinity Network of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP hosted a discussion on the future of marriage equality in Illinois, as it is being shaped by LAMBDA Legal's lawsuit, Darby v. Orr . The event was held at Hinshaw's Chicago office at 222 North LaSalle Street.
William M. Lopez, an Associate in the Chicago office, moderated the panel, which included LAMBDA Legal Senior Staff Attorney, Christopher Clark, and two of the Darby plaintiffs, Mercedes Santos and Theresa Volpe.
The event discussion focused on the legal aspects of the Darby v. Orr case, and also showcased the plaintiffs' perspective as being a part of such historic litigation.
Approximately 70 attendees took part in "The Fight for Marriage Equality in Illinois" event.
