Hinshaw Attorneys Tom McGarry and Steve Puiszis to Speak at the DRI Webinar "Risk Management for Law Firms: How to Prevent Legal Malpractice Claims"

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP partners Thomas P. McGarry and Steven M. Puiszis, of the firm's Chicago office, will be speaking as part of a panel at the upcoming webinar "Risk Management for Law Firms: How to Prevent Legal Malpractice Claims." The webinar, presented by DRI and Wilis, will take place on November 19, 2015 starting at 11:00 a.m. central time.
The program will cover a number of issues including risk management strategies for law firms, cyber risks, docket controls, engagement letters and conflict checks. For more information, or to register, please the DRI website.
Mr. McGarry has focused on representing lawyers and lawyers' professional liability insurers for over 30 years. During that period he has represented and counseled hundreds of lawyers and law firms in actions for civil liability, in professional ethics and responsibility, and in risk management. He has also counseled professional liability carriers on lawyers' malpractice insurance coverage and has acted as national claims counsel overseeing defense activities nationwide.
Mr. Puiszis is a well-known and highly experienced trial attorney and mediator with a wide-ranging litigation and trial practice, who stopped counting after having taken more than 40 civil and criminal jury trials to verdict. Mr. Puiszis served as the Secretary -Treasurer and was a member of the Board of Directors of the DRI and is a past president of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.
