Hinshaw is pleased to sponsor a Spring Conference to be jointly orchestrated by the New York State Bar Association International Section and The Bar of Ireland, in Dublin, Ireland, on April 20-22. Hot topics on international law will be discussed, including:
- Impact of recent EC decisions applying the EU ‘state aid’ provisions to tax treatment of European and multinational companies
- Impact of upcoming changes in privacy regulation and the role of the Irish Privacy Office as a primary regulatory
- The practice of law in Ireland and New York and the merits of both as centers for dispute resolution
- Impact of Brexit on Dublin as a business center
Hinshaw's Ed Lenci is serving as U.S. Co-Chair of the conference. His firm colleague Janis Meyer will present on a panel titled "Searching for a Common Language: A Comparison of Some Regulatory and Ethical Issues in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States."
The conference will conclude with a Gala Dinner at The Honorable Society of King's Inns.
