Event
May 9, 2025
New York, New York
Partner D.L. Morriss will participate in the Practising Law Institute's (PLI) one-day conference panel titled "Affinity Groups and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Is Your Law Office Using (and Empowering) Them Most Effectively?" offered both virtually and in-person in New York City on May 9, 2025.
Affinity groups, or employee resource groups (ERGs), bring together employees with shared backgrounds or identities to foster a more inclusive and supportive workplace. However, without a clear structure, success is not guaranteed.
The panelists will cover:
- How to decide if an affinity group or ERG makes sense for your office
- Strategies for launching and sustaining effective groups
- What group size, composition, and seniority levels work best
- When broad groups should be split into smaller, more focused ones
- Whether ERGs in global organizations should be country- or region-specific
- How to set goals for ERGs
