David Alfini and Adam Guetzow to Speak at the 2016 LeadingAge Senior Living Conference

David J. Alfini and Adam S. Guetzow, Chicago-based partners at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, will be speaking at the 2016 Senior Living Conference hosted by LeadingAge on September 28, 2016.
The conference material will focus on three major updates to labor & employment law concerning the National Labor Relations Board decisions and rules affecting union elections and voter eligibility (joint employers and temporary employees), new OSHA rules affecting accident reporting and hazard enforcement, and the Department of Labor's rule increasing the salary standards for Fair Labor Standards Act exemptions.
David Alfini focuses his practice on helping his clients control their risk both inside and outside of the court room. He has developed a national practice representing clients in a variety of matters such as long-term care, construction defect, product liability, toxic exposure, premises liability and auto liability cases. David is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Indiana. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in more than twenty jurisdictions nationwide. His clients find that this gives him a unique outlook on litigation and issues that arise in more than one location. He handles all aspects of litigation up through trial. He has mediated cases in numerous jurisdictions and tried matters in Illinois, Maryland, Washington, Texas and New York.
Adam Guetzow's practice primarily focuses on serving clients in the commercial/residential services and healthcare services arenas. In his commercial/residential services practice, Adam assists in defending products liability, premises liability and general liability cases on both a local and national basis. Within the healthcare arena, in addition to handling matters involving long term care facilities, Adam has also developed a focus on defending Section 1983 civil rights actions alleging deliberate indifference to medical needs. Clients express appreciation for Adam's accessibility, practicality, and commitment to achieving their organizational and personal goals.
