Hinshaw attorneys Alyssa Szymczyk and Leslie Meredith will present at the 2026 Spring Conference on Consumer Finance Law (CCFL), taking place May 28 and 29 at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Alyssa’s Session
Alyssa will speak on the panel, “Credit Compliance and Coerced Debt: What You Need To Know,” on May 28. She will be presenting alongside Caren Enloe from Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers, LLP, and Tom Quinn from Hudson Cook LLP. Their session will explore coerced-debt legislation, its requirements, and the compliance strategies and pitfalls facing the consumer financial services industry.
Leslie’s Session
Leslie will present on the panel, “UCC-ing The Problem? Liability in the Digital Payments Era,” on May 29. Joined by Nick Agnello from Husch Blackwell LLP and Thomas Burke from Ballard Spahr LLP, their discussion will examine the latest developments in the law governing liability for electronic payment fraud, with a focus on Article 4A and Regulation E.
