LOS ANGELES ― Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP Health Care Practice Group partner Michael Dowell wrote an article published by BNA’s Health Law Reporter in its August 22, 2011 issue. The article discusses increased HIPAA Privacy and Security enforcement efforts, and predicts a potential for further investigations, fines, penalties and mandatory corrective actions plans for covered entities and business associates as the result of future audits and investigations.
