Deijha M. Swanson represents clients in complex tort and general casualty defense matters.

Prior to joining Hinshaw, Deijha clerked for the Circuit Court of Cook County in the Commercial Law Division and later for the Presiding Judge of the Law Division. During law school, she externed in the Central District of Illinois, the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery – Mortgage Foreclosure section, and served as a 711 law clerk in the Juvenile Division of the Office of the Public Guardian.

Deijha, a former English major, has a great love of the arts. She played the role of "Beneatha Younger" in her college’s graduate production of "A Raisin in the Sun." She also enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.
