About Corey
Corey represents carriers in insurance coverage and bad faith matters in litigation and non-litigation settings. He advises carriers on disputes involving eight- and nine-figure exposures, and he manages first- and third-party cases involving complicated factual and legal issues. His practice spans numerous jurisdictions, with a focus largely on matters in the Southeast.
From a coverage perspective, Corey represents primary and excess carriers on claims involving aviation, property, automobile, general liability, environmental, and other lines of insurance. On the bad faith spectrum, Corey handles cases related to delays, claim undervaluation, non-acceptance of demands, failure to initiate proactive settlement discussions, inadequate communications, and wrongful denial of defense and coverage. He also counsels clients on responding to civil remedy notices, time-limited demands, and generating strategies for settling multiple-claimant disputes. Further, he provides guidance on claims handling protocols and compliance best practices.
