About Mikelle
With more than 25 years of commercial and financial services litigation experience, Mikelle represents financial institutions, mortgage servicers, and businesses in matters ranging from routine disputes to complex, high‑exposure cases. Her extensive work in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts enables her to assess issues quickly and accurately while keeping the broader strategic and regulatory landscape in clear focus. This perspective enables her to guide clients efficiently through every phase of litigation, from early settlement and pre-trial through trial, appeal, and resolution.
Mikelle has significant experience in all aspects of title litigation, including title fraud, curative actions, priority disputes, equitable subrogation, title insurance coverage, hazard insurance litigation, and quiet title actions. She also defends financial institutions in individual claims and class actions arising under major federal and state consumer‑protection statutes, including the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Federal Housing Administration regulations (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), TILA–RESPA Integrated Disclosure rule (TRID), Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA), Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices standards (UDAAP), the New York Deceptive Practices Act, the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd–Frank), and the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (GLBA), in addition to common‑law tort matters.
