About Katherine
Katherine represents clients in complex commercial litigation and insurance-related matters, working with major corporations, businesses, individuals, and carriers on a wide variety of claims and issues in state and federal courts, including at the appellate level. Armed with extensive industry knowledge and insight, Katherine provides her clients with strategic and tailored solutions to address their legal problems.
Katherine advises business entities facing claims of breach of contract, negligence, general liability, fraud, professional liability, statutory violations, warranty breaches, and premises liability.
In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Katherine's insurance related experience includes a broad range of matters and policies such as commercial, business, automobile, homeowners, and property policies, handling coverage disputes providing coverage evaluations. She has represented various insurance companies in coverage disputes, achieving favorable summary judgment rulings in lawsuits involving alleged property damage, construction defects, and the duty to defend or indemnify in underlying tort liability actions. Katherine further defends and counsels carriers in bad faith and extra-contractual claims and litigation.

Experience
- Represented successor trustee and five living beneficiaries at the trial and appellate levels who sought modification of a trust to ensure a historically significant homestead property was preserved in perpetuity in accordance with trustee’s charitable intent. Obtained favorable final judgment at the trial court level, which was affirmed by the Third District Court of Appeal of Florida on appeal. Reno v. Hurchalla, No. 3D18-2325, 2019 WL 3938297 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. August 21, 2019)
- Represented appellants in the successful appeal regarding the enforcement of a land trust arbitration provision, where adverse order issued by trial court was reversed by the Fourth District Court of Appeal of Florida. Iglehart v. Mitbank USA, Inc., 4D19-86, 2019 WL 6164242 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. Nov. 20, 2019)
