About Liz
Liz counsels insurance carriers on a wide range of insurance coverage matters, including complex coverage issues, bad faith exposure, and pre-suit coverage disputes. She regularly advises insurers on coverage issues arising under commercial automobile, trucking, garage liability, and other liability policies, including matters involving policy interpretation, defense and indemnity obligations, policy cancellation, non-cooperation, scheduled drivers and vehicles, and the MCS-90 endorsement. Her practice includes preparing coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters, responding to Civil Remedy Notices, advising on time-limited policy limits demands and claims handling issues, and representing insurers in declaratory judgment actions involving coverage and defense obligations. She has also successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of an insurer in a coverage dispute involving an unscheduled driver, resulting in a determination that no coverage existed under the policy.
In addition to her coverage practice, Liz represents insureds and other clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, including premises liability, negligence, bodily injury, and third-party liability claims involving dangerous conditions and other tort-based allegations.

Experience
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of an insurer, securing a determination that no coverage existed because the driver involved in the underlying motor vehicle accident was not a scheduled driver under the policy.
- Defeated coverage claims through summary judgment, securing a ruling that no duty to defend or indemnify existed where the accident occurred after policy cancellation and outside the scope of the insured business.
